Inspired by real stories of immigrants who have been detained or deported, Guerrilla FC and the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights partner to release The Monarch Collection, an immigrant-inspired apparel capsule honoring the communities that shape the game, with all proceeds funding Amica Center's efforts to provide representation for immigrant children and adults facing detention or deportation.
THE GAME WAS BUILT ON MOVEMENT
Football has always belonged to immigrants, carried across borders, played in the streets, and woven into communities, some far from home. It’s a game shaped by movement, for people who are finding their way and ultimately building something wherever they land.
And now, as the world turns its attention to the game ahead of the World Cup, that global story feels more visible than ever. It’s worth asking who the game has always belonged to. The same communities that built the culture of football are navigating something very different.
In the U.S., one-in-three immigrants lives with the fear that they or someone they love could be deported (Pew Research Center, 2025).
For many, the idea of belonging remains uncertain, even in the places they’ve helped shape. As enforcement intensifies and detention facilities expand, that fear is a daily reality.
Guerrilla FC and the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights have partnered to tell these stories, but not just as stories of fear. These are stories of empowerment, celebrating courage, resilience, and the drive to belong, on the field and beyond.
We’re meeting this moment with intention, raising critical funds to provide legal representation to those who are in detention or at risk of deportation.
